2. Silicon-containing ferrosilicon

The antimony-containing ferrosilicon has a strong ability to eliminate white mouth, and is particularly advantageous for improving the shape and distribution of graphite in thin-walled castings, so that the difference in microstructure at different thicknesses is smaller, and the supercooled structure is only found on the surface layer of the casting.

3. Silicon-containing ferrosilicon

The bismuth-containing ferrosilicon also has a strong ability to promote graphitization, which can improve the morphology and distribution of graphite in thin-walled castings, and also has the effect of slowing the growth and decline, and the amount of treatment is less than 75 ferrosilicon.

4. Zirconium containing ferrosilicon

Zirconium has deoxidation effect, which is beneficial to improve the fluidity of molten iron, can reduce the white mouth tendency of cast iron, and promote uniform and fine A-type graphite. And there is also a role in slowing down the decline. China also has a supply of zirconium-silicon ferrosilicon, but there are still few adopters.

5. Silicon germanium alloy

The use of 20-30% silicon germanium alloy as an inoculant can significantly reduce the white mouth tendency of cast iron, and can increase the time of maintaining the inoculation effect to about 30 minutes, which is especially suitable for large castings. When processed, the amount of alloy added was about 0.1%.

6. Silicon calcium alloy

Although the silicon-calcium alloy has a strong inoculation effect, it is not suitable to use a granular alloy as an inoculant for cast iron, in addition to the application of the core wire.
